The Fairytale Proposal

Probably every girl dreams about the perfect proposal sometimes. Ones imagine a nice restaurant, fancy champagne and a theatrical kneel with a diamond ring, others prefer a more cosy environment and a sincere, private engagement. Whichever one it would be, I bet the thought of it has crossed all of our minds at some point.

Very recently, I had an opportunity to witness an extraordinary proposal ceremony. My boyfriend got contacted by a businessman from New Zealand with a request to capture the special moment of proposing to his girlfriend while they vacate in Paris. The couple was supposed to stay at the Ritz hotel, and so that is were the question had to be popped.

Everything seemed to be just perfect on the big day. It looked like even the weather was excited about the celebration of love. We arrived to the hotel where everyone was going great guns to make the event unforgettable and flawless. I was amazed how everything was planned to the last detail - every person had his own task and every minute was important. The view at the end was simply breathtaking. The Ritz garden was covered in a golden sunset light, a private dinner table was decorated with beautiful tableware and roses, and, right in the middle of newly-cut lawn, dozens of fresh flowers assembled the words “will You marry me?”. Can You imagine that??! Some guests of the hotel were passing by, taking pictures and smiling. “Who could say no to that?” one lady asked. I had no answer for her.

The experience of assisting in this beautiful photoshoot was simply amazing. It was a responsible job to be in the right place at the right time, as You only have a few seconds to capture the moment. But even though it was a little stressful at first, the ambiance in the place and the positive answer of the bride-to-be (she said yes, of course) made everyone smile and forget the all worries for a minute. Love was in the air!
