When I went back home to Lithuania for spring holidays, I had the most amazing experience of participating in a photoshoot of the new menu for this beautiful restaurant, called "Siesta". Since one of my dream professions is a photoshoot stylist, here I could actually experience the insights of the job and try to put myself in the shoes of a stylist. Not exactly fashion, but definitely not worse.

First of all, the restaurant has an amazing atmosphere. It is located further away from the city and is surrounded by beautiful nature: rye fields, cherry trees and wild riverside just a few steps away. The interesting part is the mix of this very familiar, down-to-earth setting and the very high-class cuisine inside. I believe this POD, along with a lot of positive reviews from various journalists, celebrities and food critics is what earned Siesta a respective position in a Lithuanian restoration business.

The other thing, and the most important one, is the food. We got lucky enough to get to try out all of these goodies You see in the pictures. And I have to say: they taste just as good as they look. I was very pleasantly surprised, as I am pretty picky when it comes to food. I do not eat everything and I most certainly do not like trying out new things I am not familiar with. However, I did not let untraditional recipes and combinations scare me this time (as the head chef of the restaurant was freshly preparing all the dishes by himself, I couldn’t let this opportunity slip by), and I did not have one negative details to pick on.

Of course, before digging into these delicious art creations, we had to make the perfect shot for each and everyone of them. And we got there with empty stomachs… Now that was a real challenge, I can tell You. When we finally were done with the last one, we could hardly save space for ourselves to have a taste of all the dishes, as they were so yummy that we couldn’t stop until we finished the plate..

I guess that is where the name of the restaurant came from. That feeling You get when You fill Your tummy with these amazing delicacies and forget all the troubles in the world - just want to close Your eyes and rest Your head in front of the warm sun rays by the water. Siesta!
